  • Timeline of Our Company
  • Founder Arther Petty had started the business in San Anselmo in 1954. He worked on custom and tract homes, commercial project and even the Marin Civic Center.
  • Michael Petty joined in 1975.
  • The name was changed to Petty and Sons in 1975
  • Arther retired in the early 90′s and Michael formed Michael A. Petty Masonry.
  • Tom Petty joined the team in 2002.
  • Michael A. Petty became Petty Masonry Inc. in 2008.

Custom masonry was the main focus. Here are a list of examples:

  • Wood fired bake ovens (Lark Creek Inn, Baccos in New Orleans)
  • Bread ovens (restoration of the bread ovens at Angel Island)
  • Pizza Ovens (Oliveros in Oakland, Chez Pannise in Berkley)
  • As a result Petty Masonry Inc. has been maintaining a high level of quality since 1975. Our company motto is “old world workmanship with today’s technology.” If you have a vision, a sketch on a napkin we have the ability to bring your project to life.
